Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
- Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
- Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately
- Reformulate, summarise, translate or interpret a document of general interest written or presented orally in a foreign language into French
- Conduct relevant research and report on it in a critical manner (cognitive skills)
- Assess the relevance and reliability of documentary sources used

Learning Outcomes of UE
At the end of the 2nd block, students will be able to:
- bring out the logical structure of a general text, written in the foreign language; - render the meaning of this text in a correct French; - advisedly use dictionaries and reference documents.
Content of UE
Introduction to the basic translation principles and technologies. Introduction to the translation of informative and pragmatic texts, accessible at the B1 level of the CEFR.
