Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • In the field of chemistry, possess highly specialised and integrated knowledge and a wide range of skills adding to those covered in the Bachelor's programme in chemistry.
  • Help lead and complete a major development project, individually or in teams, related to chemistry.
    • Mobilise, articulate and promote the knowledge and skills acquired.
  • Manage research, development and innovation within chemistry and/or its applications.
    • Understand unprecedented problems in chemistry.

Learning Outcomes of UE

Following this course, students will be able to understand the molecular basis of different post-translational modifications of proteins and their importance in cell biology.

Content of UE

Mechanisms of protein maturation
-Mechanisms of degradation of protein (lysosomal and proteasome)
-Covalent modifications of proteins : structural and functional aspects (gycosylation, phosphorylation, acetylation, methylation,...)
-Reversible et temporal aspects of theses modifications

Prior Experience

Notions of Biochemistry, cellular biology and chemistry
