Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Describe, organise, analyse and prioritise the phenomena observed in the medical field
    • Know the standard physical examination, as well as recognise and describe clinical symptoms
  • Control the molecular, morphological and functional approaches of normal and pathological conditions
    • Describe these states and technical examinations to quantify them in different approaches, as well as describe the operational characteristics of these examinations
    • Integrate concepts from these different approaches in a complex biomedical problem
    • Explain the relationships between molecular, morphological and functional changes and pathological conditions, their clinical signs and symptoms
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills developed within a medical context
    • Use a rich vocabulary accurately linking concepts and words, and understand the prefixes and suffixes used in the medical field
    • Summarise, explain, and argue
  • Develop reasoning skills
    • Integrate reasoning in clinical approaches

Learning Outcomes of UE

This course is designed to provide a broad understanding of infectious diseaes. The student will be able to established a diffrential diagnosis and to select an adequate antimicrobial treatment taking into account the patient's clinical conditions, individual and environmental risk factors and to consider prophylaxis and infection control strategies when required. 

Content of UE

The UE contains one AA (Learning Activity) on infectious diseases.

Prior Experience

Understanding of the content of the courses on microbiology, parasitology and semiology.
