Learning Outcomes of UE

The learning outcomes of this EU are identical to those of the EU "General Chemistry I" and "Organic Chemistry I".
General chemistry I :
Structure of matter (first model of the atom, mole, molar concentration, nomenclature of inorganic compounds, quantum model of the atom, electronic organization of atoms, periodic classification of elements, chemical bonding, wave model of the atom and binding in the wave model, geometry of covalent buildings) - Interactions between molecules - Notions of thermodynamics and chemical kinetics - Acid-base balances, pH - Reduction-oxidation reaction.
Organic chemistry I :
Recognize the different organic functions (alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, halogens, alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, ethers, esters, carboxylic acids and derivatives, amines, etc.) and identify the structures of biomolecules (lipids, proteins, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, etc.)

Content of UE

The content of this EU is identical to that of the "General Chemistry I" and "Organic Chemistry I" EUs.
General chemistry I :
Describe precisely how the material is made. Use all physico-chemical laws (kinetics and thermodynamics) that describe chemical transformations and provide the student with the basics of general chemistry.
Organic chemistry I :
Study of the different organic functions (alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, halogens, alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, ethers, esters, carboxylic acids and derivatives, amines, etc.): nomenclature, physical and chemical properties, main reactions. Study of biomolecules (lipids, proteins, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, etc.)
