Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand, describe, analyse and prioritise biological phenomena
    • Understand basic scientific knowledge and be able to use it
    • Abstract, understand and apply mathematical translations of the main laws and biological phenomena
    • Understand and use different graphical representations of numerical values and their relationships
    • Perceive spatial distribution, and understand two- and three-dimensional representations and interconvert them
    • Understand the chronology of a phenomenon and master the time scales and their representations
  • Control the molecular, morphological and functional approaches of normal and pathological conditions
    • Understand experimental protocols in the biomedical domain
    • Integrate concepts from different approaches/disciplines in a complex biomedical problem
  • Develop reasoning skills
    • Understand and apply the basic principles of reasoning (obtaining data, analysis, synthesis, comparison, the rule of three, syllogism, analogy, Boolean logic, etc.)

In connection with the theoretical course : The characteristics of living, Cytology, Biochemistry of the cell, Bacteria and Viruses, Protists, Fungi, Plants and Animals; Man, tissues, organs and their functions, Nutrition and Reproduction; Heredity and Genetics, Diseases and Immune Systeme

Content of UE

In connection with the theoretical course : The course of Human Biology will tend to supply basics in the field of Diversity of Life, Biochemistry, Evolution, Cytology and Genetic.

Prior Experience

In connection with the theoretical course : The candidate must master the prerequisites of biology, namely: 1. The different structural levels of living systems 2. Constituents of living 3. Structure of eubacteria and plant and animal cells 4. The organization of the vertebrate body 5. Diversity and uniqueness of the living world 6. Relationships between living systems 7. Ecosystems
