Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the theoretical and methodological fundamentals in arts, science, engineering and construction to solve problems involving these disciplines
    • Identify, describe and explain the basic artistic, scientific and mathematical principles
    • Identify, describe and explain the basic principles of engineering sciences and construction
    • Select and thoroughly apply knowledge, methods and tools in arts, sciences, engineering sciences and construction to solve problems involving these disciplines

Learning Outcomes of UE

- Establish simple properties or explain demonstrations ;- Model real situations using classical probability distributions;- Calculate the parameters of a distribution;- Calculate probabilities identifying four counting-standard situations;- Graph and summarize statistical data;- Construct an interval containing almost certainly the value of a parameter of a distribution;- Testing the assumptions made on the value of parameters

Content of UE

concepts of probability: random variables and distribution; classical distributions; random vectors; independence; correlation; regression; normal distribution; central limit theorem;

concepts of statistics: modeling real situations by probability plot and summary statistics; covariance; correlation; regression; independence; estimation intervals (mean, proportion, variance); hypothesis testing (mean, variance, proportion and comparisons).
