Description of the modifications to the Q3 2019-2020 online assessment procedures (Covid-19) |
Subject of the examination : 1) General information on sample surveys. 2) The different stages of a sample survey. 3) Reading relating to the development of the questionnaire. 4) The different sampling methods : size to give to the sample and choice of individuals in the population. In particular, be able to calculate the size to give to an EAS. 5) The concept of margin of error. 6) Analysis of the results of a survey. In particular, being able to demonstrate a relationship of dependence between the answers to two questions : - at the level of the description of the sample; - at the level of generalization to the population (hypothesis test); - techniques to know: cross tabulation (Khi-square independence test) and comparison of means (only 2 means: T-test). Being able to use the concept of "signification". 7) Test of the representativeness of a sample (Khi-square test of adjustment). Terms of the exam : Theory questions and exercices as in previous years. Hence advice : - review the exercises proposed as part of the 2020 "remote" practical works; - try to do the exams of June 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 listed on the course website. |
Content of Learning Activity
The course is divided into three parts corresponding to three basic stages of the survey process :
- building of survey questionnaire ;
- sampling : methods by reasoned choices (samples by quotas, ...) and random methods ( simple random samples, ...) ;
- analysis of survey results with computing means.
