      Description of the modifications to the Q3 2019-2020 online assessment procedures (Covid-19)
      Students who undertook and completed the whole semester abroad at one of our partner universities will sit their exams at their host institution. No further evaluation is necessary.
      Students who undertook an internship to, and who were able to complete their internships will submit an internship report in which they describe, in detail, the tasks they carried out and how the internship has affected their abilities in the language of the internship and their relationship to that language.
      Students who were not able complete, or even begin, an internship will submit an internship detailing the replacement activities organized for them by the department in which they were originally slated to carry out their internship or mobility.

      Content of Learning Activity

      There are two possible formats for this module:

      - either the student undertakes a term of enrolment at a partner university located in a foreign country or region, the content of which is established by agreement with the host university in the form of a Learning Agreement;

      - or the student undertakes a two-fold set of activities consisting of:
      (1) a formal immersion internship (300 hours at least), in Belgium or a neighbouring country, established by formal agreement, in a company or other host organisation where the foreign language is the main vehicle for communication, followed by the presentation and oral defence of an internship report;  and
      2) one or more additional immersion-approximate activities (400 hours minimum). the details of these activities will be agreed upon in advance by the student and a representative of the department of the language in which the internship is to be carried out.

      NOTE: The study-abroad placement is strongly encouraged.  The internship option is a last resort alternative for the student who is unable to travel abroad for legitimate and verifiable reasons.
