Description of the modifications to the Q3 2019-2020 online assessment procedures (Covid-19) |
The evaluation will be twofold. The first part (D. Thiry's lessons) will be carried out in the form of an individual distance discussion with each student. This discussion will focus on a concept of the course. During this discussion, the student may have available any documents he deems necessary, including his course notes. There will be no preparation period for the discussion. The second part (lessons by C. Bittencourt) will consist of the submission of a detailed report related to the reading of a research article chosen by the students with the agreement of the teacher. |
Content of Learning Activity
Structure of clean surfaces and adsorbed monolayer ; thermodynamics of surfaces ( thermal capacity of the surfaces ; surface free energy , surface tension, curved surfaces, isotherms, nucleation) ; dynamic surface ( vibration surface carbon , gas -surface interaction , surface diffusion , desorption) ; electrical properties of surfaces ( space charge model jellium , work output, double layer Stern layer , zeta potential ) ; surfaces bonding
