      Organisational online arrangements for the end of Q3 2019-2020 assessments (Covid-19)

      Description of the modifications to the Q3 2019-2020 online assessment procedures (Covid-19)
      An individual work of minimum 5 pages (max. 10) and concerning one of the following subjects is required:
      - DNA extraction from soils: what are the possible methods? What are the problems? How to obtain an optimal protocol? Offer a point-by-point protocol. For this, take inspiration from scientific articles found on PubMed. A list of references should be provided at the end of the report.
      - In situ hybridization (FISH): recall the principle and propose a protocol for visualizing bacteria in a microbial community in a soil. What are the problems? For this, take inspiration from scientific articles found on PubMed. A list of references should be provided at the end of the report.
      - Imaging by NanoSIMS in microbiology. Principle, examples, difficulties. Take inspiration from scientific articles found on PubMed. A list of references should be provided at the end of the report.

      The work must be returned no later than August 15, 2020 by sending it to the professor (david.gillan@umons.ac.be)
