Written examination in Moodle : questions with short answers (mutiple choice or open-ended questions) and justifications on Theory (50%) and exercices (25%). Mark of parctical works (25%) is kept. |

Special theory of relativity : history (Michelson-Morley experiment); kinematics (Lorentz transformation, Einstein's principles, Space and time relativity, Twin paradox, Doppler effect, velocity and acceleration transformation equations), electromagnetic field relativity, dynamics (Relativistic mass, Total energy, Equivalence of Mass and Energy), Minkowski space
Introduction to quantum mechanics and atomic physics: experimental evidences, quantification, duality, Schrödinger equation, 1D problems, central potential, kinetic momentum, Hydrogen atom
Nuclear physics: properties of nuclei, nuclear force, nuclear models, stability, natural radioactivity and decay process, radioactive series, fission, fusion
