Content of Learning Activity
Ability to optimize dimensions or the geometry of an object, use of sofwares. Optimization using gradient descent or metaheuristics, in relation to particular applications. Notions of graphs and flows will also be studied. Examples of problems: Ø Art Gallery Problem : position cameras in a museum Ø Position light sources to maximize illumination Ø Trajectory optimization to exit a building Ø Optimize a structure or dimensions Ø Optimize the position of columns under an envelope Ø Adaptation du Facility Layout (room configuration in a habitation)
