Description of the modifications to the Q3 2019-2020 online assessment procedures (Covid-19) |
A unique synchronous exam organised remotely concerning both the theoretical and exercises parts of the course. A general question is to be prepared for one hour in form of a written dissertation and an oral discussion for about 15 minutes. The oral part consists in customised questions that deal with all the content of the course. |
Content of Learning Activity
describing the rock as a porous medium composed of a solid skeleton and fluids; defining stress and strain concepts; building constitutive laws; presentation of different constitutive laws for rocks: linear elasticity, visco-elasticity, poro-elasticity, failure and plasticity; laboratory tests principles; extension of lab measured characteristics to rock masses by their description, in situ tests and determination of quality indexes of rock masses.
