Description of the modifications to the Q3 2019-2020 online assessment procedures (Covid-19)
The assessment is organized in the form of a remote written exam requiring the deposit of your digital productions on Moodle. The test will include a theoretical part (comprising questions intended to assess your understanding of the principles of dimensioning, selection of machine components and mechanical design (requiring diagrams and drawings)) which may be conducted with an open book in a limited time and an applied part (including justifications for choice of design, numerical calculations, diagrams and drawings) whose statement will be posted on the Moodle exams site.

For the applied part, it will therefore suffice to upload, during the examination, the answers that you may have prepared. A single report for all questions (which can be handwritten and scanned or typed) acting as a calculation note and accompanied by a single Excel file (and / or a SciLab code) will be delivered individually to the Moodle assignment, under as a single Word or PDF file, accompanied by an Excel file (which you can comment on and illustrate) and possibly a SciLab code. (Name your files according to the example Ex_Achille_Talon_1_2.xls to designate the response file of the applied part ("Ex" as "exercise") of the student Achille Talon, file number 1 of a set of 2 transmitted files) (Les instructions for the names of Word, jpg or PDF files accepted for the theoretical part will be specified during the examination). The weighting of the applied part accounts for 33% of the overall EU score
The digitization of your productions (the drawings will be done manually on paper, ruler and compass, without software) can be done by a scanner, a digital camera or by your smartphone. During the examination, whether for the theoretical part or for the applied part, you will have to communicate drawings and diagrams according to this process.

Students who have successfully completed the applied part in the first session can benefit from a rating transfer for this, on the condition of expressing this wish for the exam day at the latest, by submitting a written document in the Corresponding Moodle homework.
