      Content of Learning Activity

      Vibration and acoustic signals: definition, order of magnitude, time domain indicators (mean, RMS value,...° and frequency domain indicators (spectrum, PSD, octave bands), measurement devices.
      Vibration response of mechanical systems: eigen frequency, eigen mode, damping, transfer function, resonance, active and passive vibration isolation.
      Acoustic Physics: acoustic pressure, acoustic power, decibels. Physiologic acoustics (dBA, dBC,...). Noise propagation. Noise reduction: absorption and isolation.
      Assessment of human exposure to noise and vibration, according to standards.
