      Content of Learning Activity

The course offers an overview of anthropological main theories and schools of thought, but in an incarnated and living approach. Each theoretical session is followed by a more practical session illustrating and critically highlighting the lessons of the previous week. Extracts of ethnographic documentaries will be used to illustrate some of the case studies and introduce various debates and controversies in the discipline.

      Required Learning Resources/Tools

Each session is built around a PowerPoint presentation containing the main ideas, definitions, concepts and bibliographic references. These PowerPoint will be made available to students on a weekly basis. For each class session, a particularly illustrative article will also be made available to students wishing to immerse themselves in the literature before class.
