Description of the modifications to the Q3 2019-2020 online assessment procedures (Covid-19) |
The different parts of the course can be the subject of exam questions. The professor recalls however that he insisted throughout the course on the most important points and that he gave many examples of potential questions for each part. Given the particular situation, the 2-hour exam will not consist of 10 open questions, but 30 multiple choice questions. 1 point will be awarded for each correct answer. No points will be withdrawn in the event of an error. The 2 hour exam will be available online for 3 hours. |
Content of Learning Activity
The course « Histoires et théories des arts » is a course about the different European artistic periods from prehistoric times to the end of the Middle Ages. Our approach is not only founded on aesthetically appealing but it is also founded on the relationship between art work and his historic, social and cultural context. The course analyses the art in detail from three specific angles : 1) the relationship between the artistic product and the religion ; 2) the relationship between the arts and social and political power ; 3) art as a socially cohesive drive.
