Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Actively master the fundamental concepts and models of economic sciences and management sciences
    • Understand the methods and tools adapted to the field of economics and management
  • Critically compare knowledge acquired to real situations.
    • Develop and structure reasoning by basing it on suitable scientific arguments

Learning Outcomes of UE

After this course, the students will be able to understand and make good use of the mathematical tools usefull for economists and managers.

Content of UE

Matrices and linear equations systems
Functions of one or several variables
Notion of derivation
Differential calculus
Optimisation models
Introduction to integral calculus

This integrated test Q1 (written examination) concerns the content of the Learning Activity "Mathematical fundamentals for economy and management - Part 1"  (the score is denoted M1 below).

Q2 UE Assessment Comments

This integrated test Q2 (written examination) concerns the WHOLE content of the Programme Component "Mathematics 1", that is the two Learning Activities "Mathematical fundamentals for economy and management - Part 1 AND Part 2" (the score is denoted M2 below).
The global score for the Programme Component is calculated as follows :
- if M1 is higher than M2 : global score = 0.35 * M1 + 0.65 * M2
- if M1 is lower than M2 : global score = M2
