Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Compétences professionnelles spécifiques à la traduction multidisciplinaire - Maîtriser la production professionnelle de traductions
    • S'initier aux langues de spécialité et à leur terminologie propre.
    • Use professional software as CAT Tools with discernment and competence
    • Be familiar with translation in the foreign language, while applying specific strategies

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of the first block of the master in translation, students should be able to:  -understand specialized documents using appropriate research strategies; -translate them into correct French and where necessary, taking into account the typology and terminology of the concerned domain.

Content of UE

Translating specialised texts from various domains whether economical, technical, scientific or medical. Use of documentary and terminological resources (CAT). Translation of texts on general subjects and exercises in comparative linguistics. Emphasis on specific problems inherent in the foreign language. Critical use of documentation and language reference materials available in the target language.
