Programme component

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages (language skills)
    • Communicate easily and adequately, in both selected foreign languages, at a minimum level of B2 in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
  • Understand and integrate cultural similarities and differences (cultural and intercultural skills)
    • Identify cultural differences and talk about them
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately

Learning Outcomes of UE

Upon completion of the language courses of this programme component, students will have a good command of Danish at the A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students will be able to :
- read and understand simplified books and to communicate their understanding ;
- identify relevant information in simple texts about life in the Danish-speaking area.

Content of UE

Class activities centred on :
- understanding of general, particular and detailed information ;
- developing efficient reading and listening strategies ;
- using lexical research methods and structural analysis ;
- production of simple texts and utterances about various topics. Commented listening of audio(-visual) recordings.
Structural and lexical exercises (functional usage of common phrases and expressions).
Writing and speaking exercises. Commented reading of factual and narrative texts. Class activities centred on :
understanding of general, particular and detailed information; developing efficient reading strategies ; using lexical research methods and structural analysis ; extending the passive vocabulary.
