Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

• Understand language of instruction and foreign languages (language skills)
• Use French perfectly in a variety of non-technical situations, both orally and in writing
• Understand, reformulate and summarise documents and presentations, in French, on various topics written by experts, including those related to current affairs

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of the 2nd block, students will be able to:
- bring out the logical structure of a general text, written in the foreign language; -render the meaning of this text in a correct French; - advisedly use dictionaries and reference documents.  

Content of UE

Introduction to the basic translation principles and technologies. Introduction to the translation of informative and pragmatic texts, accessible at the B1 level of the CEFR.
