Programme component

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages (language skills)
    • Be proficient in another foreign language
  • Understand and integrate cultural similarities and differences (cultural and intercultural skills)
    • Identify cultural differences and talk about them
    • Be familiar with codes and conventions of other cultures for the sake of interpersonal relationships
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately
    • Reformulate, summarise, translate or interpret a document of general interest written or presented orally in a foreign language into French
    • Carry out, alone or in groups, activities or projects involving critical analysis
    • Communicate results or conclusions of these activities or projects in an appropriate manner
  • Conduct relevant research and report on it in a critical manner (cognitive skills)
    • Conduct targeted and reasoned documentary research in both the core language and the foreign languages studied
    • Assess the relevance and reliability of documentary sources used
    • Give a critique of the studied literature

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this programme component, students will master the Spanish language at level A1(productive) and A2 (receptive) of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages.
 
They should be able to: - understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type; - introduce him/herself and others and ask and answer questions about personal details;  - interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Content of UE

Commented reading of a large range of texts. Commented listening activities, based on audio(visual) resources. Oral and written production exercises: written texts and oral utterances in ………….. on various topics. Systematic and appropriate use of grammar and vocabulary
