Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Collaborate and work in a team.
    • Have developed practical skills in physics through practical sessions in the laboratory and sessions during which they have worked individually and in groups.

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this instruction, the students will be able :
- to understand the principles of non-linear optics and of optical properties of anisotropic materials
- to apply the concepts presented during the lectures to carry out a research project during the laboratory sessions
- to present a research article in a field related to the research topics presented during the lectures
 

Content of UE

- Reminders on laser physics
- Non-linear susceptibility
- Optical non-linearity and wave equation
- Refractive index in non-linear optics
- Light scattering
- Laser irradiation
