Learning Outcomes of UE
To understand the concept of drug. To understand the methods used to discover and develop them; To understand the problems linked to drug development (in chemistry, physics and biology); To tackle the chemist's roles in research and drug production
Content of UE
The themes of this course are (i) sources of new drugs, (ii) drug design techniques (chemistry, informatics, mathematics, physics) including a demonstration of computer-aided docking experiment, (iii) structure-activity relationships, (iv) roles of chemistry in pharmacological modulation, (v) the chemistry of drug production and (vi) consequences of drug development
