Programme component

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • In the field of chemistry, possess highly specialised and integrated knowledge and a wide range of skills adding to those covered in the Bachelor's programme in chemistry.
  • Help lead and complete a major development project, individually or in teams, related to chemistry.
    • Mobilise, articulate and promote the knowledge and skills acquired.
    • Demonstrate independence and their ability to work alone or in teams.
  • Communicate clearly in the scientific domain.
    • Communicate, both orally and in writing, their findings, original proposals, knowledge and underlying principles, in a clear, structured and justified manner.
  • Develop and integrate a high degree of autonomy.
    • Pursue their education and gain additional knowledge and new skills.
  • Apply high quality scientific methodology.
    • Critically reflect on the impact of chemistry in general and projects to which they particularly contribute.

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this course, the students will be familiar with the mean sectors of chemical industry. By the présentations (seminars) and discussions with the various industrial lecturers but also the two visits on industrial sites, the students can obtain responses to numerous questions that may have on the possible carreer and evolution in chemical industry.

Content of UE

This course is built on two moduli: - a first cycle of five seminars delivered by industrial lecturers (5 afternoons) - two visits on industrial sites (one organized by the student him/herself, the second one organized for the class).
