Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
The aim of the teaching unit is to complete its training in spatial planning by deepening the skills of urban engineering. By urban engineering, it is understood all the theories, techniques and urban solutions implemented at the urban and territorial scale, from the industrial period to the post-industrial (digital) city.More particularly, it is paid attention to mobility issues, technical network and new digital approaches in the form of a resilient territorial reading. The technical approach is understood both in the context of the techniques throughout the history of the city, the current theories and their applications in the governance processes. At the end, the student must be able to have a solid knowledge urban systems, based on the theories of systems, and allowing it to develop a critical spirit facing current or future issues of urban governance.
Content of UE
The U.E. includes courses in mobility and sustainable development, urban networks, smart cities and resilience. The course of urban network deals with the history of all urban systems and recent techniques applied to them. The course of Smart Cities develop the recent history of the digital and smart city and develops the logic of urban governance related to these types of uses. The sustainable mobility course defines in a detailed way the mobility models and their application in cities. The whole of each course is to understand as a complement of the other and developing the theoretical principles of the systems, applied here to the city .
Prior Experience
URBA I, URBA II, URBA III
Type of Assessment for UE in Q2
Q2 UE Assessment Comments
The U.E. relies on the course of architectural projects by proposing to deepen the work of urban relation and treatment of the public space by the project of rachitecture of the second semester and for each student. This work is supplemented by a theoretical exam allowing the teachers to ensure the mastery of the defined systemic concepts.
Type of Assessment for UE in Q3
