Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this course, students will be able to: ·
-Analyse and understand the programme of a simple architecture project and its context.
-Organise the different functions of a space and place them into a hierarchy.
-Apply the dimensional requirements of the human body in planning architectural spaces.
-Learn how to take into account such parameters as: sunlight, the relationship between inside and outside, differences in levels, light, materials,...
-Design a creative personal project that answers the various constraints and requirements outlined above.
-Gradually acquire the standards and the means of graphic architectural representation in 2D-3D and scale models.
-Develop verbal theoretical arguments and justify a project with references

-Become familiar with the language of architecture. -Become familiar with building and technical aspects constructifs while analysing the spatial consequences.

Content of UE

-Raising and appropriation of an existing space. Function/Planning. (Method, 2D-3D representation).
-Creating “micro architectures”.  Progressive knowledge of functional, construction, esthetic solutions. Space/structure. Sizing /body. (Research, creativity). ·
-Analysis of a remarkable home. (References) -Experimenting with space. (Visits and reports). ·
-Design of a multi-storey contemporary single family home in a given context. (June studies panel).
