    strength of materials applied to machine elements; contact between solids: tribology, surface failure; fits, screws and fasteners; bearings, hydrodynamic bearings, roller bearings, sliding pairs; screw pair; sealing; fatigue failure theories; stress-life approach; Wöhler law; influence of mean stress; Miner's law; springs.
