Content of Learning Activity

The aim of this course on Journalistic Information Theory is to introduce the students to the world of journalistic information and help them to understand the main contemporary issues and debates on journalism, from a socio-historical perspective. At the end of the course, students will be able to understand the process of the production and treatment of the news and understand the constraints linked to the evolutions in working conditions of the professional group. They will be asked to adopt a critical view of the logic behind the production and consumption of journalistic information.

      Required Learning Resources/Tools

The PowerPoint presentations used during the sessions will be made available to the students. These PowerPoint presentations will be progressively posted on the teaching platform Moodle. Scientific and professional texts will also be posted on Moodle.
