Learning Outcomes of UE

By the end of the course the student will be able to:
- understand texts related to economics and global issues
- express his or her opinion on any topic related to economics and global issues

The student will therefore be expected to:
- produce grammatically correct English in an academic context
- develop fluency through productive skills (writing and speaking) 

By the end of this course, the student must reach a B1-level (CFCR).

Prior Experience

Basic grammar and vocabulary (A1 level). Students with no knowledge of English are strongly encouraged to attend the remedial classes throughout the whole academic year.

Q3 UE Assessment Comments

Written (or online) exam which will cover the course content of AA1 and AA2. Upon request, the students may be exempt from the content of AA1 if their grades for the January exam exceed 10/20. AA2 will represent 60% of the grade. The final grade for the UE will therefore be 40% AA1 + 60% AA2.
