Prérequis

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages (language skills)
    • Communicate easily and adequately, in both selected foreign languages, at a minimum level of B2 in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
  • Understand and integrate cultural similarities and differences (cultural and intercultural skills)
    • Demonstrate real knowledge of the cultures of the studied languages
    • Identify cultural differences and talk about them
    • Be familiar with codes and conventions of other cultures for the sake of interpersonal relationships
  • Use everyday technology (technological skills)
    • Use standard office software tools and editorial assistance effectively
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately
    • Carry out, alone or in groups, activities or projects involving critical analysis
    • Communicate results or conclusions of these activities or projects in an appropriate manner
  • Conduct relevant research and report on it in a critical manner (cognitive skills)
    • Conduct targeted and reasoned documentary research in both the core language and the foreign languages studied
    • Assess the relevance and reliability of documentary sources used
    • Give a critique of the studied literature

Learning Outcomes of UE

Upon completion of the language courses of the second block, students will have a good command of the foreign language at the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students will be able to:
- understand articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems in which the writers adopt particular stances or viewpoints;
- understand contemporary prose;
- write clear, detailed texts on a variety of subjects related to their fields of interest, which give information or give reasons in support of or against a particular point of view. 

Content of UE

Commented reading of factual and literary texts. Writing exercises. Analysis and commented reading of varied texts (content, style, length, function).
Production of texts with implementation of compensation, control and correction strategies: - summarizing of information and arguments coming from various sources; - development of personal arguments.
