Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
At the end of the class the students will be able to understand and explain the main concepts and methods of decision support, as well as to apply the methodologies studied in practical applications, with the help of software tools.(For details, see the AA contents)
Content of UE
multiple criteria decision aiding (multi-criteria problems, discussion of the weighted sum, additive value functions, outranking methods, decision under uncertainty and risk); multi-objective optimization (general concepts and introduction to the methods of multi-objective optimization); introduction to game theory, treatment of uncertainty (introduction to fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic).

Type of Assessment for UE in Q2
Q2 UE Assessment Comments
Written examination on the 3 parts of the course and the introduction to game theory. The exam consists firstly of questions that aim at testing the student's knowledge of the definitions, methods and results. Other questions test the understanding of the methods and notions by solving simple exercises which are direct applications of these notions and methods. The requirements are higher for the 1st part of the course. The exam will test the capacity of the students to compare various methods and discuss their results when applied to the same decision case.
Type of Assessment for UE in Q3
Q3 UE Assessment Comments
The poll method and the weights are identical to those used in the first session.
