Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
- Analyse a problematic educational situation (including making a diagnosis regarding disabilities) with reference to theories and methodological approaches resulting from developments in educational sciences, particularly in the specific field of remedial education.

Learning Outcomes of UE
Evaluate and intervene with people with specific needs in an adequate way taking into account the peculiarities of the person and the current philosophy of the accompaniment of these persons.
Content of UE
After defining the main deficiencies and mental illnesses, we will trace the history of the care of people with disabilities in Belgium. We will then describe the current philosophy of accompanying these people and define the key concepts of autonomy, self-determination and valorisation of social roles. We will also present tools for evaluation and educational interventions.
