Content of UE

Sustainable development: definition, history and principles. Pure and mixted public goods. Externalities and appraoches on how to correct them. Carbon markets. Principles of welfare economics. Indicators of prosperity and well-being.
 

Prior Experience

The course is open to non-economists. Therefore, the prerequisites are mild, only basic economic notions such as supply and demand, GDP and the slope of a function are required.
Basic Dutch vocabulary is necessary, but fluent expression in Dutch is not required.
