Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages (language skills)
    • Communicate easily and adequately, in both selected foreign languages, at a minimum level of B2 in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
  • Understand and integrate cultural similarities and differences (cultural and intercultural skills)
    • Demonstrate real knowledge of the cultures of the studied languages
    • Develop knowledge in various fields, in particular those aimed at by translation activities
  • Use everyday technology (technological skills)
    • Use standard office software tools and editorial assistance effectively
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately
    • Reformulate, summarise, translate or interpret a document of general interest written or presented orally in a foreign language into French
  • Conduct relevant research and report on it in a critical manner (cognitive skills)
    • Conduct targeted and reasoned documentary research in both the core language and the foreign languages studied
    • Assess the relevance and reliability of documentary sources used

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this UE, students will be able to: - understand a French speech and pick up on the structure after hearing the speech for the first time; - Reformulate the speech in correct, natural italian, avoiding literal translations, after having quickly researched the subject and terminology; - describe and justify strategies employed.  cf. Consecutive interpretation, into italian, of speeches of varying lengths and of a fairly low degree of specialisation. cf.
