Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
- Conduct extensive research and development projects related to biological sciences, in biochemistry and in molecular and cell biology.
- Apply, mobilise, articulate and promote the knowledge and skills acquired in order to help lead and complete a project.
Learning Outcomes of UE
At the end of the instruction, the student will become acquainted with the research area and master the techniques used in the department and in particular those useful for his master thesis.
Content of UE
Learning of care and handling of experimental animals (contention, exposure to gas mixture, treadmill-training,…) , anesthesia and monitoring; minor surgery; Measure of the mechanical muscle properties; quantification of electrical activity in the respiratory muscles; Biomechanical aspects; muscle immunohistology, western blotting, cell culture.
