Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Carry out major projects.
    • Appropriately use bibliographic resources for the intended purpose.
    • Present the objectives and results of a project orally and in writing.
  • Apply innovative methods to solve an unprecedented problem in mathematics or within its applications.
    • Mobilise knowledge, and research and analyse various information sources to propose innovative solutions targeted unprecedented issues.
    • Appropriately make use of computer tools, as required by developing a small programme.
  • Communicate clearly.
    • Communicate the results of mathematical or related fields, both orally and in writing, by adapting to the public.
    • make a structured and reasoned presentation of the content and principles underlying a piece of work, mobilised skills and the conclusions it leads to.
  • Adapt to different contexts.
    • Have developed a high degree of independence to acquire additional knowledge and new skills to evolve in different contexts.
    • Critically reflect on the impact of mathematics and the implications of projects to which they contribute.
    • Demonstrate thoroughness, independence, creativity, intellectual honesty, and ethical values.
  • Skill 6: Have acquired professional skills in relation to the objective defining the degree.
    • Have gained expertise and specialised knowledge in a field of mathematics in order to enter fully into the world of research.

Learning Outcomes of UE

As an outcome of this UE, the student will have have studied and understood an advanced research topic in the domain of software engineering.

Content of UE

This UE aims to understand an advanced research topic in software engineering, on the basis of one or more scientific articles provided by the teacher, possibly complemented by tools and available data of empirical studies. The student should carry out a critical review of the state of the art, and/or perform practical experiences to reproduce or advance this state of the art.

Prior Experience

A good knowledge of the basic software engineering concepts.

Type of Assessment for UE in Q1

Q1 UE Assessment Comments

Type of Assessment for UE in Q2

  • Presentation and works

Q2 UE Assessment Comments

The student should provide a written scientific report of his work, and should orally defend his work (supported by slides).
A single global grade will be given, taking into account the quantity and quality of the work carried out, as well as the quality of the scientific report and oral defense.

Type of Assessment for UE in Q3

  • Presentation and works

Q3 UE Assessment Comments

The student should provide a written scientific report of his work, and should orally defend his work (supported by slides).
A single global grade will be given, taking into account the quantity and quality of the work carried out, as well as the quality of the scientific report and oral defense.
