Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
This training period should help the students in the selection of the subject of their master thesis. The first period is dedicated to a a general overview of the main techniques used in the laboratory. The second period is adapted to the theme of the selected master thesis.
At the end of this training period, the students will be able to :
- conduct an in vivo metabonomic study on rodents placed in metabolism cages
- establish a metabolic profile on cultured cells
- use the predictive softwares tools Deerk (toxicology) and Meteor (Metabolsim)
- confim the choice of the theme of the master thesis
Content of UE
- cell culture
- handling and housing of rodents
- use of metabolic cages
- administration of a test substance to rodents
- collection of biofluids
- use of predictive softwares (Derek and Meteor)
- preparation of samples
- spectroscopic analyis of biofluid samples
- treatment of spectra
- Multivariate data analysis
- interprete metabonomic data from a biologic point of view
