Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
The course of Human Biology will tend to supply basics in the field of Diversity of Life, Biochemistry, Evolution, Cytology and Genetic. The students will build the frame of knowledge in biology to understanding more specialized courses which they will encompass in the future (like histology, physiology, anatomy). In a more general view, the main objectives of this course are to develop observation and analytical skills, to learn a scientific working method and to be able to synthetize some information for applying their logic in a wide range of contexts.
Content of UE
1. Theoretical course (60h) Tome I: The characteristics of living, Cytology, Biochemistry of the cell, Bacteria and Viruses, Protists, Fungi, Plants and Animals Tome II: Man, tissues, organs and their functions, Nutrition and Reproduction Volume III: Heredity and Genetics, Diseases and Immune System 2. + Tome II (Workshops) 2. Practicals (30h)
Prior Experience
The candidate must be able to express themselves clearly and correctly in French, both orally and in writing. It must demonstrate the ability to understand, reason, and demonstrate a spirit of synthesis The candidate must also master the prerequisites of biology, namely: 1. The different structural levels of living systems 2. Constituents of living 3. Structure of eubacteria and plant and animal cells 4. The organization of the vertebrate body 5. Diversity and uniqueness of the living world 6. Relationships between living systems 7. Ecosystems
