Learning Outcomes of UE
By the end of the course, students will be able to read philosophical texts, not only considering the theoretical content, but observing how the texts are written and considering how writing style influences thought.
Content of UE
In function of the students' interests, certain philosophical texts will be chosen at the beginning of the year. These will then be read and discussed in class. Particular attention will be paid to the way in which they are written (choice of words, form, expression of ideas, etc.) in order to get an understanding of how writing influences ideas and how ideas influence writing. In order to achieve this, certain written exercises will be set.
