Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Choose a thermal solar collector related to a given problem; evaluate the solar fraction of a particular thermal system; size the thermal equipments needed to the building air conditioning. Choose and integrate in a proper way heating and cooling equipments in buildings; understand and use performance curves of heat pump and air conditioning systems; calculate the energy impact of using heat pumps and air conditioning systems
Content of UE
Solar energy; solar thermal collectors; air conditioning; ejecto-convectors. Refrigeration machines for air conditioning and heat pumps: thermodynamic concepts, performance curves; material selection; design and calculation; energy impact; seasonal performances.
