Learning Outcomes of UE
place mineral processing in the thread of industrial minerals, metallic ores and metals describe the purposes and the basics of the main operations in mineral processing (comminution, sizing, concentration) describe characteristics, possibilities and limits of the different equipments interpret and give a commentary on an unpublished flow-sheet explain choice and arrangement of equipments in a flow-sheet solve numerical exercices

minerals and metals; ores; purposes of the mineral processing; presentation of samples of ores; comminution; liberation; reduction ratio; crushers and grinding mills; practical aspects of crushing and grinding; sizing; particle-size analysis; screening; classification; concentration; gravity concentration; magnetic separation; high-tension separation; flow-sheets; exercices (mass balance, washability curves, sizing and classification, partition curves) ;
