Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
To be able to solve the industrial problems of the electrochemical processes ; to apply Faraday's laws ; to know the galvanic cell behaviour and the electrolysis process and calculate their efficiency ; to identify the electrode reactions and the limiting steps of the studied system ; to distinguish faradic and capacitive phenomena ; to identify the losses of the electrochemical processes and the ways to reduce them ; to know the main industrial applications : batteries, storage cells, electrocoatings, fuel cells...

electroactivity domain ; galvanic cells and electrolyzers ; electrolytic medium ; activity and activity coefficients ; electrodes and selective electrodes ; fundamental equation of a galvanic cell ; electrode potential ; second principle of the thermodynamics and generalised equation of Nernst ; conductivity and transport number ; electrochemical double layer and electrocapillarity ; activation overvoltage ; concentration overvoltage ; applications (polarography, electrocoatings, batteries and fuel cells, storage cells, ...)
