Content of Learning Activity
Basic techniques in microbiology (isolation, culture and identification (lawn characteristics (colour, texture, growth pattern, etc.) gram-staining, microscopic examination, metabolic requirement "footprints"), sensitivity test, characterisation of the genome (PCR)); use of different techniques (spectrometry, chromatography, ...) in the search and identification of toxic compounds (heavy metals, solvents, ...) in human and environmental samples.
