      Content of Learning Activity

      The role of analog circuits in complex Systems on Chips (SoC). The “More than Moore” roadmap. Modern mixed-signal integrated circuit technologies. Special technologies: organic devices, MEMS and NEMS technologies, 3D integration. Review of advanced devices models (ACM, EKV, BSIM6).Analog subsystems: DAC and ADC converters, time-digital and digital-time conversion, PLL, DLL and FLL,  integrated sensors and actuators, sensors and actuators interfaces, filtering, RF front-end, power management strategies, energy harvesting circuits and systems, RFID circuits, special communications circuits, Field Programmable Analog Arrays (FPAA),  dynamically programmable Analog Signal Processors (dpASP), analog co-processors.  Case study: applications examples for the IoT (Internet of Things), AAL (Ambient Assisted Living), Green technologies’ Systems-on-Chip.
