Objectives of general skills

UE's Learning outcomes
Introduce the path integral formulation of quantum mechanics and quantum field theory. Introduce the renormalisation, up to one loop, in quantum electrodynamics.

Path integral formulation of quantum mechanics. Definition, gaussian approximation, tunnel effect and instanton technique. Feynmann diagrams in electrodynamics. Classification of the divergent diagrams involving one loop. Regularisation and renormalisation.
