      Objectives of general skills

      • Understand the fundamentals
        • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of mathematics suitable for the study of physics, and be able to use this mathematics in applications in the field of physics
        • Undertake further study having already acquired and enhanced the necessary learning skills

      UE's Learning outcomes

      To master elementary linear algebra in view of applications, be acquainted with mathematical formalism.

      UE Content

      Vector spaces, linear maps, dimension, matrix representations.

      Prior experience

      "Mathématiques élémentaires" course.

      The January test weights 25% of the continuous evaluation grade.
      The final grade for the "UE" is the maximum of the June examination grade and the continuous evaluation grade.

      The March test  weights 25% of the continuous evaluation  grade.
      The June examination weights 50% of the continuous evaluation grade.
      The final grade for the "UE" is the maximum of the June examination grade and the continuous evaluation grade.
