Objectives of general skills
- Understand the fundamentals
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of mathematics suitable for the study of physics, and be able to use this mathematics in applications in the field of physics
- Undertake further study having already acquired and enhanced the necessary learning skills
- Provide clear and accurate information
- Communicate complex information to a qualified scientific partner

- Solve simple problems in the context of physics by identifying their basic aspects and by using both appropriate theoretical and experimental methods
UE's Learning outcomes
At the end of the instruction, the students will be able to master high school mathematics needed for the courses in the first year
of bachelor in sciences (mathematics, physics and computer science).
AIMS : to fix high school basic notions of mathematics.
To allow a better transition (from the mathematical viewpoint) between high school and university levels.
UE Content
Complex numbers, polynomials
Vectors, matrices, determinants, system of linear equations.
Elementary logic (truth table, quantifications, proofs ab absurdo, contraposition, induction).
Handling of symbols of summation.
Elementary functions, vector valued functions, graphic representation, notions of derivation, first-order approximation.
