The field works are in SE-France, in the Middle of the Var department. All the chosen landscapes are in the Mediterranean biome. In a first step, we present several typical landscapes in chalky or acid soils, in woody, shruby or grass vegetation. The students realize full vegetation descriptions, they sample typical plant species and collect entomological specimens. They prepare an herbarium, an entomological collection, a field notice-book and a complete report.
      Practicals are mandatory.
