Definitions of the current major challenges for public spaces by reading several authors (Gehl, Ascher, Donzelot Choay, Bourdin ....): security, accessibility, environmental quality, privatization, segregation, urban marketing, ...<br /><br />Analysis of contemporary practices responding to these challenges, both at the level of cities (Barcelona, Lille, Paris) and local initiatives (PPS, tactical urbanism). Study of urban charters aimed at guaranteeing the quality of public spaces (Lille, Nantes, ...), as well as multi-criteria analysis grids of the quality of public spaces: accessibility for all, soft mobility, uniformity of materials, environmental quality, taking into account maintenance, street furniture catalogs, management of green spaces, presence of art ...<br />
